Core performs automated device monotoring, data collection and analysis, incident reporting and fault management. It is the "server" portion of the platform. Core utilises SNMP and other protocols to download monitoring data from monitored devices. This data is organised into the data hierarchy maintained by Core and is analysed for any potential fault conditions. By default, the majority of data collected and analysed by Core is recorded for historic reference and user-guided analysis.

Console is the platform's Mac OS X and Windows-based monitoring console application. Console provides the user with a tightly integrated and highly graphical, interactive interface for all aspects of network monitoring. Included with Console is an advaned graphing engine that provide quick and easy ad-hoc graphing and analysis funtionality. Console connects to Core using an XML/HTTP interface. All monitoring data is exchanged using the open XML standard for data interchange.

Web is the platform's OS-independent web-based client interface. Web provides user with a detailed interface to view in-depth monitoring and operational telemetry for their networks anywhere, anytime. Web is a completely HTML based and places no requirements or prerequisites on the client computer.
